Between Kings Bromley and Yoxall on the A515 at a crossing of the River Trent a type 24 stands. It was built as part of Western Command Stop Line No 6. This view from the side shows the new road bridge. The original road bridge stands below. SK1133176

The pillbox can be accessed from a public footpath and is one of two pillboxes covering the bridge. The other is at SK 131181 and is built into a bank of rising ground above River Trent north of the bridge.

The exterior is of brick showing a slightly later date of construction to other concrete pillboxes along the Western Command Stop Line No 6. Many thanks to Dave Pemberton for these photos.
