Vale House Roofed Pillbox

Vale House Roofed Pillbox

This five walled variant at Roadwater has been restored to its former glory, disguised to look like a garden building. The pillbox still retains its original steel loophole shutters. The pillbox was  selected for preservation by English Heritage in 2002 because of the importance of its surviving wooden roof, but the structure decayed beyond repair and had to be removed.
