Blue Anchor Camouflaged Pillbox

Blue Anchor Camouflaged Pillbox

This pillbox is located alongside the track of the West Somerset Railway from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead. It still has wood battens inset into the ouside walls to take outside wood cladding (one piece still in place) to disguise it as a platelayer's hut. To complete the disguise a false brick chimney was added to the roof. Map ref ST 0070 4386 (Photos Paul Wilson)
