Southend Airport

This shows another cantilevered type pillbox. Made of concrete with brick shuttering and central brick pillar by FC Construction. The mushroom-shaped pillbox consisted of a circular pit with walls about 3ft high and a domed cantilevered roof springing from a central pillar, thus affording all-round visibility.
