RAF Ouston, Northumberland Mystery Building

RAF Ouston, Northumberland Mystery Building

Colin Anderson writes " I've now found three sets of these buildings just outside the perimeters of former WWII RAF airfields. The two surface buildings are accompanied by a small underground bunker or shelter in two cases and an identical vaulted brick structure but above ground in the third case. My thoughts are that they are possibly buildings for some sort of decoy site but they are very close to the airfields, and on the wrong side for decoys. These structures have now been identified as the possible remains of a VHF tranmitting station of direction finding post.
