Soviet War Memorial near the Brandenberg Gate is guarded by two Soviet tanks and various pieces of artillery. The tanks were supposedly the first to reach the city in 1945. The memorial was guarded by Soviet soldiers until re-unification, but now you are allowed to walk around the memorial unhindered.
